This crazy year is finally coming to an end. Let's just say 2020 has been very enlightening, to say the least. I have definitely learned a lot this year.
Here are 3 lessons I've learned from 2020:
1. Everything In Life Happens For A Reason
Everything happens for a reason. Some experiences we go through in life are meant to teach us and help us grow. God has a reason for everything! Sometimes, we don't understand why certain situations occur, but in the end it all makes sense.
2. A persons true colors will always show within time
This year showed me who people truly are. What I've learned is that during the worst times of your life, you get to see who really cares about you. Sadly, I had to cut a lot people off due to their evil, narcissistic ways. Like Maya Angelou says, "When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time." now that I know better, I can do better.
3. Prayer is The Best Medicine
I cannot tell you how many times I wanted to give up. Way too many to count. No matter what I went through, I never gave up. Whenever you feel like throwing in the towel, pray. I cannot stress this enough! Prayer is always the answer to everything. If something is not meant to be, then let it go. God will replace it with something better.
In today's world, people are always trying to outdo each other. Why does everything in life have to be a competition? What is the REAL problem?
I've noticed the whole "competition trend" in real life and on social media. Honestly, It's really pathetic how people are behaving. Women are competing with each other over the craziest things. Families are being torn apart, and friendships are being ruined everyday due to silly, competitive games. Whatever happened to sticking together and being there for one another? Whatever happened to girl power? With everything that's going on in the world right now, this is the last thing we should be thinking about. This really needs to stop.
Sadly, I have experienced this too. Ever since I was a child, girls would always try to compete with me, but I never understood why. I stayed to myself. I never thought I was better than anyone else. I was, and still is very humble. Even to this day, I still have people competing with me. My question is why? What is the point of trying to compete with others, when you can take some of that time to better yourself?
Me personally, I have never felt the need to compete. Why? Because I'm confident. I know I'm good at what I do. When you have confidence and feel secure within yourself, you will not feel the need to battle with others. You'll be so busy working on yourself, you won't even have time to worry about what someone else is doing. At the end of the day, the only person you should be competing with, is the person in the mirror.
During this time, what we should be focusing on is getting along with one another. We should start being there for each other more often. We gotta do better than this.
With the on going coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19), the thieves and scammers are coming out to play. As we all know, the holiday season is coming up very soon. Mail fraud is a big problem, especially during this time of the year. From identity theft to financial schemes, scammers are finding new ways to steal your personal information by using sneaky, deceptive tactics. It's time Stay alert and safe. It's getting crazy out there! Quick Fact: In Michigan, mail fraud is a state and federal crime. A person can end up paying expensive fines (From $500 to $2,000). In extreme cases, mail fraud can land a person in prison (For up to 10 years). Yikes!
Package theft is also a huge issue. Thousands of packages disappear from doorsteps and mailboxes everyday in the US. Plus, With Black Friday and Cyber Monday coming up next week, thief activity will be extremely high.. As a precaution, always keep a watchful eye on your packages. Make sure you get tracking numbers for them and sign up for mobile updates. Over the past year, I have lost several items due to package theft. I completely understand how it feels. Quick Fact: In Michigan, Package Theft is now a felony offense.

What is Body Shaming? Body shaming is the act of criticizing a person's shape or size. Discriminating against someone over their body type is wrong.
Why is body shaming wrong? Judging someone for their physical appearance is considered bullying. You never really know what someone is going through. Some words and phrases can cause extreme emotional pain. Body shaming and fat shaming can cause stress and affect a person's well being. This can have a negative impact on someone's self esteem. Just because someone's body looks a certain way, doesn't give them the right to ridicule someone else's. There is a difference between constructive criticism and being flat out rude.
Usually when a person body shames someone, It's because they have low self esteem. They are not happy with themselves and criticize others to make themselves feel better. When you judge someone by their appearance, it doesn't define them, it defines you! Projecting your insecurities onto someone else is never okay. It's time to take a step back. Take a long, hard look at yourself and work on your inner issues to heal those problems from within.
The more you point out someone else's flaws, the more you highlight your own.
Before you judge someone, look in the mirror and start with yourself.
It's very important to take care of your nails regularly, to keep them healthy and strong. Here are 5 tips for having strong nails.
1. Nutrition - A diet rich in vitamins and minerals can help strengthen your nails. Eating foods like fruits, Veggies, fish, nuts, and whole grains will definitely aid in stronger nails.
2. Hydration - Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water. When someone is dehydrated, their nails will become very weak, dry, and brittle. Increasing your water intake will definitely strengthen your nails.
3. Biotin - Biotin is B - complex vitamin that promotes healthy cell growth. Taking biotin supplements can help strengthen your nails.
4. Cuticle Oil - Cuticle oil can help nourish the natural nail, and prevent it from drying out even more.
5. Nail Strengthener - One of the easiest ways to strengthen weak, brittle nails. Nail strengthener contains vitamins and prevents nails from breaking and peeling.
It's ridiculous how people will try to get even with someone, especially over something that's so trivial. What people fail to realize is, revenge doesn't work. Some People will spend their whole life trying to get even with others. When you try to hurt someone out of spite, you only end up hurting yourself in the end. It's time to get over it and let it go.
See the problem with revenge is, it's a never ending cycle. Once someone starts, they will not want to stop. Nothing is resolved through revenge. It's counterproductive and pointless. Inflicting harm or pain on someone will not make you feel any better. People often forget that karma is very real.. What goes around will always come back around in the end. Seeking vengeance is a complete waste of time and energy. Over the years, I've learned to let God deal with my problems. The best revenge is no revenge at all.

Dancer, a light peachy pink nude. I like this color, but I think it's a little too light for my skintone. If you are a women of color, I would recommend wearing this shade with a brown lip liner.

All of the glosses are creme finishes with high shine. They don't contain any shimmer. The texture is buttery smooth and they're non sticky. The gloss lasts about three hours with minimal touch ups. With eating and drinking, you could get an hour of wear.

Many of us do this. It can be very difficult to stop worrying about what others think, especially when it's your family and friends. Today, I will give you three tips on how to stop worrying so much and start living again.
Ask Yourself Why
First, ask yourself this question. Why do you care so much about what other people think? Are you scared you are going to disappoint them? If this is the reason, STOP. Think about what will happen if you disappoint yourself. You cannot live your life for other people, only for YOU! You are the one who will have to deal with the consequences and repercussions. Trust your inner voice and always listen to your intuition before making decisions.
When in Doubt, Pray It Out!
When in doubt, pray. Whether you are a Christian or not. Every time you start to worry, pray. When you are afraid, pray. Even if it's for five minutes. Ask God to help you make the right decisions, and ask him to give you strength. He's always listening.
Practice Self Love and Care
Love yourself first. When you lack self confidence, you will always try to please other people. Once you learn self love, you will stop worrying about others. I know it is easier said than done, but it's possible. Take time out for yourself each day. Nourish your mind, body, and soul.
